How can you tell
if coaching can make your work more exciting and rewarding? No two writers'
problems are exactly alike, but here are some signs it may be time for
you to seek expert advice:
- You've lost your edge;
rarely are you excited by a story.
- You procrastinate. You spend
far too much time reporting, gathering too many notes you won't use.
Your leads don't sing.
- You have difficulty organizing
the material. Outlines don't seem to help.
- You write safe, cookie-cutter
stories for your editors, not original, innovative stories for your
readers.
If you're an editor, the symptoms
differ, but the malady is as real:
- You dread having to assign
stories to writers you think of as your "problem children."
- You know that stories need
fixing, but you can't put your cursor on what's wrong.
- You feel rushed, under
constant pressure. You never seem to have time to give stories the polish
they deserve.
- You are rarely excited
by the finished product.
Don't give up hope, your first
step toward solving these problems may be as easy clicking here
to see how we do it.
